Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to help at the individual level?

We have the most impact on the relationships and communities we hold close. We suggest continuing and deepening your relationship with a structured weekly or monthly get together. Most recent actions taken by inequitable individuals ask us to isolate and be fearful. Resistance can look like leaning into community and opening conversations that have been put on the back burner. Our reflection Journal can lead you to deeper conversations with structure & empathy artists.

How do I get my company to invest in DEI training?

The best way to garner buy-in for a culture shift within an organization is to align it with the business goals, strategic plan, and people’s needs. Are there existing barriers, perspectives, or data you can point to within your organization? Attrition rates, team dynamics, ESG focuses, or community reputation can activate leadership to invest in people resources. Construct the Present’s approach to DEI is to humanize the workplace. Where could your organization lean into humanity people over profit?
