Liana Avendano

Liana Avendano (they/them) is a DEI professional and lifelong learner. They are nonbinary, queer, neurodivergent, and a child of Mexican immigrants and bring these identities to their DEI and liberation work. Born in Los Angeles, California, they currently live in Portland, Oregon. Growing up, they spent summers observing their mother at work as a nonprofit legal aid in a low-income Latino community. This led to an early interest in volunteering and participating in community care, informing an enduring passion for social justice. A proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Liana is dedicated to sharing their knowledge about the nonbinary experience in order to create a more inclusive world and workplace. In their personal life, they enjoy making art and music, eating seafood all over the PNW, laying on the beach in LA, or doing DIY projects at home.
