Expert Training:

Incorporating the “Train the Trainer” model, we partner with you to identify training facilitators in your organization to participate in a 90-minute training session with one of our education experts. Our consultant will share our approach the learning principles we follow in our training and walk them through best practices for facilitating constructive conversations. Included in this program is a Facilitator Guide to accompany the exercises outlined in our Constructing Perspectives Journal, a tool to help participants recognize and reflect on the social constructs that maintain systems of inequity.

Constructing Perspective Journals:

A primary component of this program, our Constructing Perspectives Journal is a workbook offering topics for reflection and activities designed to expand existing perspectives. Activities can be adapted to individuals with varying experience levels and are designed to build on foundational knowledge. We provide up to 40 Journals per organization. If more are needed, we will discuss in the discovery call.

Frequently Asked Questions About Social Impact Programs:

What is a social impact program?

The social impact program we offer today is a cost-effective and efficient way to help small businesses and nonprofits create more inclusive spaces in their work environments. Through our expert training and carefully crafted workbooks, we’ll help you address the challenges of inequality and harmful patterns of oppression one step at a time. We provide up to 40 workbooks per organization, with more available as needed. These workbooks are foundational in providing reflection topics, activities, and starting conversations.

Why are social impact programs important for small businesses and nonprofits?

Social impact programs provide an essential boost to the culture of your organization by implementing DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) initiatives. We work on rebuilding your organization’s culture from the ground up through our “Train the Trainer” model, choosing training facilitators in your organization and providing them with a 90-minute training session with one of our experts. This cost-effective solution ensures that over time, all of the team members and stakeholders in your organization can recognize and reflect on the social construct that maintains systems of inequity.

How can nonprofits and small businesses ensure that social impact programs are inclusive and equitable?

The first step is making sure that you’re partnering with a DEI consulting organization with years of experience.

At Construct the Present, we have a combined 30 years of experience in the field of DEI, and we’ve witnessed the transformative effect of targeted DEI training through our workshops, custom training programs, social impact programs, and keynote speaker engagements. Contact us today if you’re interested in starting a conversation on how we can help and what sets us apart.

Secondly, it’s crucial that you have the ability to regularly conduct needs assessments and evaluate the programs you’re implementing. Our Facilitator Guide provides a blueprint for trainers on how to properly lead participants through maintaining an inclusive workspace. We also offer diversity audit programs, a trademarked process that measures 10 domains and helps you see, through comprehensive reports, the progress you’ve made.
